![]() The Kite Boost: Kite Boosts must be matched to another pair of gummies with the same color, and when done releases three kites that remove three pieces at random. The Shuffle Boost: Represented by a pair of dice, the Shuffle Boost will randomly rearrange the board, allowing for a new chance or unsticking pieces early in the game. As such, it should be used as sparingly as is possible. The Shovel Boost : This Boost is highly selective, as it allows for the elimination of any one item from the board, and thus is perfect for the “I have only one object blocking me from victory” situations. Both of these are best used when there are blocking pieces near the bottom of the board that could inhibit your collection of resources. The Combo Boost: Combo Boosts are actually a combination of the Bomb Boost (which clears a 3×3 section of the board) and a Line Boost (which as the name implies, clears a line when moved, minus blockers). This power-up is common when combining 5 gummies of the same color into a combo in a flat line. This is useful especially during late game play when only one or two pieces may be halting your victory. ![]() Lightning Bolts: Lightning bolts clear all of the gummies of one color when swapped in position. But use them sparingly when you are stuck. It may not be a cheat but knowing these are crucial to your success.īy all means, do use Boosts. In case your curiosity gets the best of you, here is a quick run down of the boosts available to you throughout levels. Of course, some power-ups can be executed without loss of stock by matching 5 gummies of the same color in a T or L shape, so always keep an eye out for these as they confer a wonderful benefit without cost. If you’re the thrifty sort of player it’s best to not worry about using these power-ups until later levels (in particular those in other cities where you have time limits to visit), or until such time where you see that you can win if only you had the benefit of one more deftly executed switch. Keep Your Power-Ups for Emergencies OnlyĪs is typical for most games within this vein, the start of the game will come with a handful of power ups to learn their mechanics and don’t you worry one bit, plenty more of them will come at a small price, or very few will come for completion of specific levels.GNUBG would be great with the Quick Backgammon dice engine. but the UI in that game is horrible, but still despite the horribel UI Quick Backgammon is way more fun to play because of the dice rolls. The dice rolls in Quick Backgammon is just better and way more credible. A lot of features for serious players.Ĭons: The dice engine is just plain and simply completely whacked out! Anyone who has ever played dice games of any sorts just knows that the rolls dished out by this game are just way to far fetched to be credible! How often does one roll double six four times in a row! And then roll perfect rolls to fill out just the needed space on the board? It's just too far fetched and it ruins the game, it's no fun to play. Pros: Very nice layout, in my opinion the nicest user interface out there for a freeware. Probably the one of the nicest UI and nice set of features it is extremel y regrettable that it doesn't have a better dice engine! ![]() It ins't fun to play because the dice rolls are just too far fetched!.
